Lindsay Draime

Director of Bands

Mrs. Lindsay Draime is in her ninth year as a band director. She graduated from Bowling Green State University receiving a Bachelor's of Music Education as a trombone musician. She is currently pursuing her Master's in Educational Technology. Prior to her appointment in the Aurora City School District, she served as Assistant Director of Bands for the Beachwood City School District for three years. While at Beachwood, Lindsay served as chairperson for the Ohio Music Education Association District 7 High School Solo and Ensemble Event for three years. Mrs. Draime began her career in the Holgate Local School District as Director of Bands.

Lindsay is an active member in the Ohio Music Education Association, attending meetings and the annual OMEA Professional Conference. She is also a member of the Ohio Education Association. Mrs. Draime's favorite aspect of Aurora is being a part of a great community with students, families, and school staff who are dedicated to the success of the music and art programs.

Eddie Nabring

Assistant Band Director

Mr. Nabring is in his eleventh year of teaching, all in the Aurora City Schools. He is certified to teach music and art, K-12, and has a Bachelor's Degree from Miami University. He has studied voice, piano, trombone, viola, and cello and has performed in vocal chorales, musical theater productions (both on stage and in pit orchestras,) concert bands, orchestras, jazz ensembles, and on piano at various solo competitions.

Mr. Nabring is the Assistant Band Director at Aurora High School and teaches 4th and 5th Grade Orchestra at Leighton Elementary School. After school he is a member of the directing team, along with Mr. Albrecht, for the High School Fall Play, the Harmon Middle School Musical, and the High School Spring Musical. Mr. Nabring is a graduate from Aurora High School and is thrilled to be teaching in the city in which he grew up.

Bill Etling

Percussion Instructor

Mr. Bill Etling has been mentoring high school percussionists since his days at Kent State University. He has served on the MEPA Board of Directors and as an OMEA State Marching Band Finals Adjudicator. He writes the percussion book for a number of high schools across the state, including St. Edward High School and Barberton School District, and serves as a percussion advisor and clinician. His teaching experience includes several drum and bugle corps including the Lake Erie Regiment, Cincinnati Glory, Golden Lancers and Marion Cadets. Mr. Etling also teaches private percussion lessons.
